Don't Lose Hope
Only in the darkness can you see the stars. ~Dr.Martin Luther King,Jr.

I have been fortunate enough to be apart of an online support group through Instagram. My page's name is @migraine_warrior (feel free to click the link) It has allowed me to connect with people who live all over, including the UK. Nonetheless, the past few days I have noticed that there has been a consistent theme of lost hope amongst a few of my fellow spoonie pals. One in particular really broke my heart. I did a live video feed on Instagram one Saturday afternoon, just playing around, and she was the only viewer....hahahahaha Needless to say,her and I got to know each other pretty well. Lol Anyway, she had tried several treatments and none of them really worked for her. She was told there was one last treatment option available that might give her a bit of pain relief, Botox. She later found out that her insurance couldn't cover it and she didn't have the money to pay for it. How many of us have looked at our lives and our situations and wondered what we were going to do? It is so easy to complain and moan when we are in pain because it is a constant 24/7 pain in the behind(sometimes literally haha). It is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining. So sometimes, we aren't always going to be a ray of sunshine. We complete tasks in pain levels that "normal" people wouldn't dare dream of. When times are hard, it is difficult to ALWAYS see the positive. We don't want to seem like we are complainers,so we bottle up our emotions and say we are okay. It then gets to that point of frustration and we begin to fear that all hope is gone. Well, if you are reading this article, then you are in luck. I am about to give you the best piece of advice ever. Get a pen and paper and write it down. My motto is when you realize you have hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up! It is up to you to turn it around and move onward and upward. Be positive in every situation. That rock bottom, from before, now becomes the solid foundation on which you start to rebuild your life.
