Do what makes you happy!
Part of spiritual and emotional maturity is recognizing that it's not like you're going to try to fix yourself and become a different person. You remain the same person, but you become awakened.

To say that this week has been emotional is an understatement. This past Friday, I learned that my cousin, whom was only in his thirties, suddenly passed away in his sleep due to diabetic complications.
Then yesterday, I found out that a close family friend of ours, also passed away. He had been fighting cancer for a while now but recently contracted pneumonia. They took him to the hospital and he fought for a little while but your body can only endure so much. After a week, he no longer could fight it and he passed away. He was my middle school teacher, youth leader at my childhood Church, and throughout my teenage years, he was like an uncle. He was present throughout many monumental moments in my life, such as my Sweet 16, and his family was very close to our family.Losing him has truly saddened my heart.
With these two deaths happening back to back, in less than a week, it has taught me that life is too short and death knows no age. Whenever things like this happen, it always makes me wonder am I doing everything that I could be doing to ensure that I'm living a healthy life.
Although healthy living is about being physically active and eating healthier, it's also about living your life to the fullest in the pursuit of happiness. Personally, I choose to fully participate in my life. What I mean by that is I have found a happy medium, ensuring that my body feels good and my brain can function but yet and still, I am doing what makes me happy! I have remained the same person, but I have become awakened! Carpe diem; Seize the day!!!
